Trio Lyra is a newly formed ensemble featuring flautist Alyse Faith, violist Sandra Ionescu and harpist-composer Katia Mestrovic. The trio gave its first performances in August 2025 with the launch concert series ‘What Lies Beneath,’ presented at Tempo Rubato (Melbourne), Mica Grange and Yandoit Cultural.
The debut program included works by Debussy, Miguel del Águila, Melbourne-based composer Julia Potter and the trio’s harpist Katia Mestrovic, highlighting the distinctive colours and possibilities of the flute, viola, and harp combination.
